Definitions & Scope

  • Site: The official website(s) operated by Northern Illusion and any subdomains.
  • Services: All offerings we make available via the website or in connection therewith, including browsing educational content, placing orders for pickup, and customer service interactions.
  • You / your: A user or visitor to our Site or consumer of our Services.
  • Controller / Processor: In the context of MNCDPA, “controller” means an entity that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data; “processor” means an entity that processes data on behalf of a controller.

  • Sensitive Data: A subset of personal data with heightened protections under MNCDPA (e.g., biometric data, government-issued identifiers).

This Privacy Notice applies to all personal information collected through the Site or in connection with our Services. It does not apply to information collected offline or by third parties not controlled by us.

Upon request and subject to legal or compliance obligations, you may request that we delete your personal information. We will evaluate the request and delete data unless retention is required for legal, tax, or regulatory reasons.

Your Rights (Under MNCDPA & Other Laws)

Under the MNCDPA, Minnesota consumers are entitled to:

  • Right to confirm whether we are processing your personal data
  • Access: obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: request deletion of personal data
  • Portability: receive your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out of processing for targeted advertising, sale of data, or profiling
  • Right to appeal denials of requests
  • Right to question profiling decisions and understand logic behind them 

Requests must be submitted via our designated channels (see Section 9). We will respond to requests within 45 days, with a possible extension of an additional 45 days if reasonably necessary. 

We will not charge a fee for fulfilling a consumer’s first two requests in a 12-month period. 

If we deny a request, we will provide you with a reason and a method to appeal.

Security Measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—such as encryption, access controls, firewalls, and secure transmission protocols—to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site and Services are intended for users 21 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 21. If we become aware that we have collected such data without verification, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we hold such information, contact us using the next section.

We may revise this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or business practices. We will post the updated version on our Site, with the “Effective Date” updated. For material changes affecting how we use personal data, we will notify you in a prominent manner (e.g., via email or site notice) and allow you to opt out of newly introduced processing if applicable.
